CEO MESSAGE OF THE MONTH

Parenting Webinars start in January

Perspectives in Parenting: Supporting Your Child’s Journey
The parenting journey is exciting, but it’s not always easy, especially when your child may be facing a problem or a transition is on the horizon. Our latest webinar series for parents is designed to help you accompany your child, encourage them, and celebrate change while guiding them through challenging times. Join us as we explore the topics of sexuality prejudice, bullying, and transitioning to high school during this session.

Tuesday, January 30, 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Making Schools Safer for 2SLGBTQIA+ Students (for parents)
Walking through the hallways of a school, one can often encounter queer and/or transphobic behaviour, whether it’s name-calling, hurtful language, or bullying. In this workshop, we will demonstrate the work that CAEO does in schools so that parents can learn, ask their questions and also talk about how parents can support the queer and trans kids in their lives.
Presenting partner: CAEO Quebec

Wednesday, February 21, 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Bullying & the Law (for parents)
In this workshop, you will learn more about the legal aspects of bullying, such as criminal law, sharing intimate images, school responsibilities, and possible recourses. Presenting partner: Educaloi

Tues, April 30, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Transition to High School (for parents & children)
This parent and child workshop brings families together to prepare for the exciting new high school chapter. The skills, resources, and strategies provided will help students confidently face new challenges and support their personal and academic success. Participants will learn how to manage a high school class load and schedule, organizational tricks, time management skills, successful study methods for better test preparation, and long-term project planning.
