The first of two items for my Kiwi readers. This one was the materials from a recent FLANZ webinar.
Kia ora Michael,
Thank you very much for having registered for ‘The Impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Higher Education Students in New Zealand’, the April webinar organised by FLANZ.
We’d like to thank Dr Michael Cameron for sharing results from an international survey that he, Barbara Fogarty-Perry, and Gemma Piercy administered to students in Aotearoa. The presentation was based on the JOFDL article ‘The impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on higher education students in New Zealand‘.
During the session, Dianne Forbes shared the recently published article ‘Enhanced or diminished attitudes: University students’ agency‘ that she co-authored with Maggie Hartnett, Cheryl Brown, Dilani Gedera, and Ashwini Datt.
You can watch the recording of the session, including corrected subtitles, and read the transcript and slides in the attached files.
Our free 2023 webinar series continues in May and June with the following two webinars:
- AI is here to stay: Its impact on online, flexible, and distance learning on 18 May 2023 in partnership with EdTechNZ
- Bicultural principles for teaching and learning online on 20 June 2023
We look forward to seeing you at a future FLANZ event!
Ngā mihi
