VIEW & SHARE YOUR CONTRIBUTION! SITE 2023 welcomed attendees to New Orleans from 36 countries worldwide! The technology & teacher education research spanned more than 475 sessions with contributions from 1600 authors. Our first-ever University Night included seven institutions showcasing their programs. We held a record number of face-to-face workshops ranging from interactive storytelling to AI and VR in the classroom and beyond. Our social events combined entertainment and networking all against the vibrant backdrop of one of our favorite host cities, New Orleans! Access the proceedings and share your work with colleagues. SITE 2023 and K-12 Online Learning

So yesterday was the first day of the annual conference of the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education.  As reminder that the organization does have a special interest group focused on K-12 distance, online, and blended learning (and they also sponsor the Journal of Online Learning Research).  Normally I would be in attendance at this conference, but as most of my academic readers know that I just don’t attend conferences in New Orleans.

Having said that, I’m scanning the program and I notice that many of the regular folks involved in K-12 distance, online, and blended learning are not in attendance at the event.  And most of the sessions that are tagged as “K-12 online learning” don’t really have anything to do with K-12 distance, online, and blended learning.  Below are the ones that i was able to find that were actually on topic.
