Invites application for Principal of Cyber School

Greater Saskatoon Catholic Cyber School invites applications for principal of Cyber School. Cyber School offers programming to 1,600 students in grades 9 through 12. There are 24 professional staff (13.5 full time equivalents) and 4 support staff.

Role of the Principal:
• To support the ideals of Catholic education
• To work collaboratively with the Cyber School staff
• To oversee for the day to day operation of Cyber School
• To support the registration and marketing of courses
• To work collaboratively with the network superintendent to create staff teaching assignments
• To assess and monitor enrolment and the corresponding teaching assignments as the school year
progresses
• To monitor student progress
• To develop the future vision and long range planning of the school
• To communicate with the Ministry of Education

Attributes of a Cyber School Principal:

• Optimistic
• Reflective and motivated to change
• Skilled listener and problem solver
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High degree of professionalism and independence
• High degree of knowledge of and experience in distance learning
• Current in research and effective instructional strategies
• Current in effective classroom assessment
