Kia ora Michael, As our influence extends beyond the education sector, we are honoured to witness the growing interest from various groups within the NZTech community. The EdTechNZ collaborative spirit and forward-thinking approach have garnered interest from groups such as AI Forum, IoT Alliance and BlockchainNZ, reinforcing the idea that education and technology are powerful allies. As we unite our forces, we anticipate exciting opportunities for cross-sector collaboration and knowledge exchange, fostering a brighter future for education in New Zealand. With this in mind, we hope to continue to see this growing appreciation from our peers, but now it’s time to do the mahi to be leaders of the tech and education industry. To be a leader in the tech industry, it all starts with the basics – our NZ curriculum and traditional education system. We’re proud of our growing relationship with the Ministry of Education (MoE), especially with our upcoming webinar and welcoming the General Manager for NZ Curriculum & Te Whāriki at the Ministry of Education, Julia Novak, to our Executive Council. With our collective mission of transforming education, we searched for a candidate who embodies passion, vision, and dedication – and Julia is the perfect fit. Connected Ako The MoE have recently launched their digital strategy refresh, Connected Ako; a transformative blueprint for redefining education with digital technologies at the forefront.
