CANeLearn Board: Research Update

The CANeLearn board met on March 26 to finalize plans for future research.  The board decided to seek new funding for the publication of research analyses and summaries, coupled with easily shared and consumed information on the following key topics:

  1. Effective asynchronous and synchronous models, practices, strategies, and design;
  2. What does the literature say about how these two modalities can be effectively offered in conjunction;
  3. What does the literature say about distance and online learning serving Indigenous students; and
  4. A collection of resources, papers, and strategies on the use and implications of generative AI in education (many created and curated by LEARN).

We need your support for this initiative.  Board members will be appealing for help in the upcoming weeks. In the meantime, check out CANeLearn publications here and see new blog posts and publications on the State of the Nation website.

Also, we again invite online school administrators to contribute information in support of the annual State of the Nation: K-12 e-Learning in Canada research study.

Add your online school’s data to the K-12 e-Learning Program Survey.
