Your feedback and engagement in this process are crucial to our association’s future. We encourage you to take the time to get to know these candidates and cast your vote as you only get one chance to vote and cannot change later.
The election ballot for AECT’s two president-elect candidates is being extended to December 15, 2023 while AECT’s policy and timelines around elections is being updated. While that process occurs, please go to the AECT Higher Logic O&BC Community microsite to see a copy of the current election policies.

CALL FOR AECT RESEARCH STUDY PARTICIPATION
Dear colleagues, some of you may recall that Okan Arslan, Anne Fensie, and Tonia Dousay have been researching the ways in which the community of practice (CoP) framework manifests in AECT. They presented the first half of their study at AECT in 2021, sharing the perspective of AECT leaders and their efforts, intentionally or accidentally, designing activities to foster a CoP. Now they invite you to complete a survey on the member perspective of this phenomenon. This research study has been reviewed and approved by the University of Maine at Augusta IRB. The brief survey will ask you questions about your experiences at the 2019, 2020, and 2021 conventions, should take approximately 7-10 minutes to complete, and is completely anonymous. Questions about the study can be directed to Dr. Okan Arslan, Anne Fensie, or Dr. Tonia A. Dousay. Questions regarding the IRB approval should be sent to the Chair of the UMA IRB, Sara Flowers, and copied to the UMA Provost’s office.
