Help ELC Keep Discrimination out of Public Schools!

I strongly encourage folks to support this case.  The realist in me says that this case will be lost, as the Roberts court will go down in history as the one that ignored all of the fundamental principles of the founders (while at the same time citing originalist doctrine).  It’ll also go down as the only court to take away more rights for citizens (while giving a whole heap to inanimate entities) than any other court.  But anyway…  A cause worth supporting.

We Need Your Support!

Last week, Education Law Center (ELC), working in partnership with the American Civil Liberties Union, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, and the Freedom from Religion Foundation, filed a lawsuit to stop Oklahoma from sponsoring and funding the nation’s first religious public charter school.

In this lawsuit, ELC represents public school parents, education advocates and faith leaders who object to their tax dollars funding a public charter school that will discriminate against students and families based on their religion and LGBTQ+ status, fail to adequately serve students with disabilities, and indoctrinate students into one religion — all in violation of Oklahoma law and our country’s promise of the separation of church and state and public schools that are open to all.
