AECT FOUNDATION LOTTERY FOR INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION ATTENDEES
The AECT Foundation is inviting international AECT members, who are citizens living and working in a low-income nation, to enter a financial assistance lottery for the 2023 AECT Convention in Orlando, FL. The reimbursement amount will be $200.
Although the Foundation’s general account is modest, its Board has decided to answer the call for financial assistance. To determine eligibility, please view the International Monetary Fund’s website at https://www.imf.org/external/datamapper/NGDPDPC@WEO/OEMDC/ADVEC/WEOWORLD for information on specific countries. If you meet the aforementioned criteria and the GDP per capita index for your nation is 15 thousand dollars or less, you may enter the lottery.
Being a student or faculty member/employee at a college/university in a qualifying nation is required. In addition, students must register for the convention using the student discounted rate. To enter the lottery, please send an email to AECT Foundation Treasurer Robert Doyle at rgdoyle12@gmail.com and briefly describe how you meet the criteria. Your email message must include your name, position, institution/employer, and physical address. Your entry must be received by 23:59 US Eastern Daylight Time, July 10, 2023.
The Foundation’s resources are not sufficient to support all eligible members. The Foundation, therefore, decided to utilize a lottery selection system. Grantees will be selected randomly. Each grantee will receive the $200 reimbursement after the convention.
