As the profile of synchronous online learning continues to grow in K-12 schools, many QM members have begun to use QM Standards to guide their approach for this modality. One such organization is Winston Prep, a network of schools who serve learners with learning differences such as dyslexia, executive function challenges (ADHD) and more. Learn how it uses the QM K-12 Rubric to inform how it approaches course design and delivery.

When was the last time you used QM’s Self Review Tool?

Self Reviews are one of the best ways to get a sense of a course’s alignment with QM Standards. Plus, they’re one of the easiest to engage with — QM Members have access to Self Reviews for free using the Self Review Tool in MyQM. Self-Reviews are confidential, allowing you to make these determinations for yourself. Using the tool, you’ll be able to:

  • Assess how your courses match up against QM Standards
  • Gain valuable insights into what you can improve
  • Determine the quality of courses you’re considering purchasing

Before you submit for an Official QM Review, use this resource to gauge your course’s readiness. Jump in now and get a better sense of the alignment of any course!

Normally only offered as a dedicated session, the course will be offered as a public workshop for one session only, starting June 6, for those who want to freshen up their courses over the summer break. Choosing to purchase curriculum? K-12 Online Course Design is also great for vetting external courses for their adherence to quality standards and best practices.

Looking for other professional development options? The Growing Online With Precision Workshop Series is a group of four workshops designed to help you continue to learn or improve critical K-12 online course design skills.
