New QA Standards for Sharing Courses
Institutions don’t have to build courses from scratch to offer high-quality online options to their learners. QM’s new standards and recognition for course sharing allow your institution to make determinations about the quality assurance practices of institutions before you offer their shared courses to your learners — or to demonstrate the quality of the courses you’re sharing. Learn more about how these new standards can help institutions confidently leverage shared courses, expanding course catalogs and supporting learner success.
A Major Quality Investment
QM member Northeastern State University (NSU) is making big strides in online quality. A year ago, the institution declared that all new online courses must undergo a design and development process before they are published online. The results are noteworthy, with courses showing significant improvements and faculty engaging in the quality assurance process. This long-time QM member is making strides by leveraging the power of continuous improvement.

Campus-Wide AI Tool Support
Looking for tools to help you improve the accessibility of your materials? Many institutions use tools like UDOIT or Ally to identify where digital materials can be made accessible. These tools use artificial intelligence to scan for accessible features in documents, images, and multimedia.
Once the reports are generated, check out QM’s Accessibility and Usability Resource Site (AURS) for information about how to make materials more accessible. The AURS is a community-created resource for accessibility in digital education, and features a wealth of resources. The site is moderated by QM members who can answer your questions and can help you with complex issues, such as how to make math equations accessible.
