iNACOL Announces 2018 Pre-Conference Workshops

iNACOL Symposium 2018 - Driving the Transformation of Learning - October 21-24, 2018 - Nashville, Tennessee
Dear Colleagues,

iNACOL is pleased to announce the lineup of pre-conference workshopsscheduled to kick off the iNACOL Symposium held in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 21-24, 2018.

iNACOL offers pre-conference workshops on Sunday, October 21, 2018, to provide focused full- and half-day interactive opportunities for deeper learning and knowledge-building in personalized, competency-based learning. These workshops provide intensive professional development in small groups and require a separate registration from the Symposium.

Space is limited, so please register for the pre-conference workshops as soon as possible. Here are directions to register for pre-conference workshops:

  • If you’ve already registered to attend the iNACOL Symposium, click hereto modify your existing registration.
  1. Enter your email and Reference Number. Click ‘continue.’
  2. From here, you can modify various aspects of your registration, including adding a pre-conference workshop.
  • If you haven’t yet registered to attend the iNACOL Symposium, register here today and be sure to add a pre-conference workshop to your registration.

Dear Colleagues,Each year, iNACOL honors and celebrates education pioneers for their work in personalized, competency-based education. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2018 iNACOL Innovator Awards, which will be announced at the iNACOL Symposium in Nashville, TN, which runs October 21-24, 2018.

Nominations are now open for the following iNACOL Innovator Awards:

  1. iNACOL Teacher of the Year
  2. Outstanding Individual Contribution to Personalized Learning

Additional information, including eligibility requirements and nomination forms, is available on the iNACOL Innovator Awards page of our website.

Please submit a notice of your intent to nominate by 8 p.m. ET on August 31, 2018. Final nomination packages are due by 8 p.m. ET on September 7, 2018. Please send all intents to nominate and any questions to awards@inacol.org.

The iNACOL Symposium will run October 21-24, 2018 at the Nashville Music City Center. Our annual gathering will bring together more than 3,000 educational leaders and experts from around the world — making it the leading event for advancing powerful, learner-centered experiences and shaping the future of K-12 education through personalized, competency-based learning.

Travel and Hotel Information

iNACOL has negotiated a discounted group rate at area hotels for Symposium attendees. Each of these hotels has a specified reservation deadline for booking your hotel room. Although rooms may still be available after the deadline, the iNACOL group rate will no longer apply.

Group rates are offered for stays up to three days prior to and three days after the Symposium, based on availability at the time of your reservation.

To receive this special group rate, you must make your hotel reservations through the Travel and Lodging page of the iNACOL Symposium website.

Note: The hotel and reservation link shown on the Symposium website is the authorized hotel for the Symposium. Booking hotel rooms through third-party companies does not guarantee you a room in our block.
