[L_OSBC_Announce] Open School BC Has More

Like I say at some point most days these days, I’m getting a backlog in items that I want to post, so I’ll start posting them more frequently for the rest of the day.

A resource from a Canadian K-12 distance learning program.

Open School BC has more resources (of course) for you to try out during the school closure.
https://www.openschool.bc.ca/keeplearning/

We invite you to check out our daily “Activity” for school children of all ages. These are device free and simple to use for students and parents and teachers looking for activities during these trying times.

This site is updated every school day so you can check back regularly, we invite you to pass this learning resource site address along to your friends and colleagues to discover.

Thank you,
Michael Cochrane

Subject: Instructional Samples Project

Hi everyone,
After many starts and stops and hiccups, I am happy to report that the Instructional Samples project has been completed!

Many moons ago, the Curriculum and Assessment team approached Open School BC about helping to develop and layout sample lessons written by teachers as exemplars for the redesigned curriculum. S was the original project manager and needs to take most of the credit for this project. You should have seen the uber organized files and spreadsheets he created before he left on his S.E. Asia trip. Amazing! And yes, leave me he did. But somehow I managed to see the project to fruition with much help from:

*   J and S stickhandling communication with the upper echelons
*   F for organizing the production crew
*   A for doing a brilliant job with layout (even in French!)

The instructional samples live on the Curriculum website<https://curriculum.gov.bc.ca/instructional-samples?field_grade_range_value%5B%5D=10>.

Thanks again, team!
L
