Attendee registration is now open for the iNACOL Symposium held on October 21-24, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. This year’s theme is “Driving the Transformation of Learning.”

iNACOL’s annual conference is the premier learning conference for those driving the transformation of education systems and accelerating the advancement of breakthrough policies and practices to ensure high-quality learning for all. Experts, practitioners, educators, policymakers, researchers and innovators gather and work to transform education.

The iNACOL Symposium includes tracks for competency education, assessment for learning, leadership, professional development, policy and advocacy, quality assurance, human capital, community engagement, research and many more.

REMINDER: The deadline for submitting workshop and session proposals to present at the iNACOL Symposium is this Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

iNACOL is now accepting Requests for Presentation Proposals (RFP) to present at the iNACOL Symposium, held at the Nashville Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee on October 21-24, 2018. This year’s theme is: Driving the Transformation of LearningiNACOL’s annual conference is the premier learning conference for those driving the transformation of education systems and accelerating the advancement of breakthrough policies and practices to ensure high-quality learning for all. Experts, practitioners, educators, policymakers, researchers and innovators gather and work to transform education.

To access the RFP and submit your proposal to present, please click hereThe deadline for submitting presentation proposals is Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. ET. You can download the RFP questions in advance by clicking this link. The iNACOL Program Committee will notify applicants of proposal status no later than Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

The iNACOL Program Committee will give priority to proposals that provide engaging and interactive learning opportunities, modeling personalized, competency-based learning environments, drawing on participant experiences and promoting dialogue and exchange.

For tips on submitting your presentation proposal, we have an archived webinarthat explains the RFP process and timeline for proposal selection, and highlights ways to design interactive sessions that generate meaningful collaboration and foster engagement.

iNACOL President’s Welcome Reception
iNACOL invites you to network with your colleagues and meet newcomers in the field during the iNACOL Symposium opening night President’s Welcome Reception on Monday, October 23from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Atlantic Hall (Exhibit Hall). Join us to socialize while enjoying beverages, appetizers and small plates. Make new connections, network and exchange powerful ideas with others in the Exhibit Hall and lounge areas. The lounges are designated meet up and collaboration zones for Symposium attendees.

Book Signing by Tom Rooney
Tom Rooney will be signing copies of his new book, Beyond Reform: Systemic Shifts Toward Personalized Learning, on Tuesday, October 24 from 3:15-4:00 p.m. in Atlantic Hall (Exhibit Hall) near the Personalized Learning Lounge. This book details how Lindsay Unified School District (California) took action to improve student learning by shifting from a traditional time-based education system to a learner-centered performance-based system.

iNACOL Symposium Networking Event
The iNACOL Symposium Networking Event is on Tuesday, October 24 from 5:30-8:00 p.moutdoors at the Swan & Dolphin cabana deck, beach and pool area. This year’s theme is Beach BBQ Party. In addition to great cuisine and beverages, beach volleyball and live music, this quintessential event allows you to enjoy the fresh air while connecting and exploring ideas with other experts from across the field. Refresh and re-energize at this Beach BBQ Party and don’t forget to pack your casual attire and flip flops.

iNACOL Voices Hub 
iNACOL Symposium attendees can share what they’re learning at the iNACOL Voices Hub, an interactive podcasting center for capturing your thoughts, telling your story, sharing your
ideas and learning from each other. While at the Symposium, please take time to stop by the Voices Hub Lounge, located in the Exhibit Hall. Chat on mic with Courtney Belolan and Matt Shea, practitioners who are hosting the Voices Hub, and be part of podcast episodes on Symposium topics.
