Director’s Email

August 2022

Greetings from the REL Southeast,

Preparing children for school involves much more than making sure they’ve had a restful night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast, though these things are important. School readiness also accounts for their cognitive, social, and emotional development which is strongly influenced by their families and through their interactions with others. As students across our region take their first steps on their academic journey, the REL Southeast would like to offer resources designed to help families, schools, and communities support these young learners. We hope you find these materials useful, and as always, thank you for helping to improve educational outcomes for every student in our region.

With gratitude,

Dr. Nicole Patton Terry
Director, REL Southeast
