EDEN webinar series – Time for Action in Shaping HE 4.0; 7 June

Dear EDEN Members, Partners and Friends,

Life and education in pandemic is going on, after a year now we have gained significant experience, offered numerous researches and analysis, reflected on steps taken. We know what we could have done better, we have ideas on how to do better, how to reset the education for the digital age and now it is time for action. In this new series of EDEN #onlinetogether webinars – resuming the successful 2020 series Education in time of a pandemic and Education in time of a new normal – our aim is to provide insight and advice on how to make those needed changes, to move forward and shape higher education for today and tomorrow.

However, by the pandemic year, several important instruments describing digital competences of educators already exited, namely, competence metaframeworks, covering knowledge, skill and attitude/ responsibility level, as well as digital competence framework for educators – DigCompEdu – and many others. When the storm surpassed, we have to look around us to reflect on our practices and the way how digital competence development is addressed in education organizations and how this is in line with the competence definition in the broad sense.
