Speak Up Congressional Briefing – 2019/20 National Research Findings

CBG- PROMO 2 twitter 1

We are pleased to invite you to participate in our annual Speak Up Congressional Briefing which for the first time is being hosted by edWeb as a virtual event. The Briefing will include a review of key findings from the Speak Up Research Project results from the 2019/20 school year and a panel discussion with elementary, middle and high school students from around the country. This year’s Speak Up findings are particularly interesting because we will be sharing insights from data collected from over 136,000 K-12 students, teachers, parents and administrators both before and during the school building closure period.

Speak Up data evidence will be shared that highlights how the sudden shift to remote e-learning in spring 2020 not only changed school formats and school-home connections, but also fundamentally shifted teacher, parent and student beliefs and attitudes about educational efficacy, the value of technology within instruction, and aspirations for new learning environments. This new evidence has wide-ranging implications for K-12 education for this school year and beyond. We hope that you will participate in this important discussion to share your insights as well.
