#VoteUp Project Tomorrow to attend SXSW EDU 2020!

A request from the folks that bring you the annual Speak Up Survey.

UpVote Our Session!

Hello Speak Up partners, we need your help!

Project TomorrowBrainPOPDigital Promise, and Talladega County Schools have partnered to present important adn innovating Speak Up data at SXSW EDU 2020! Now we need your help to #UpVote our session!

Against a backdrop of growing interest in learning coding as an economic driver and computational thinking as a new literacy, this panel discussion will lean into the equity challenge of realistically addressing “computing for all” in K-12 education. Leveraging timely research and real-world practices, we will address two persistent yet often overlooked questions: 1. What does “computing for all” look like in the average classroom? 2. What support is needed to ensure educational equity?

Take aways for session participants include:
1. Gain new insights about how to effectively integrate computing activities and computational thinking across the curriculum in all content areas.
2. Learn about the views of students, parents and educators on the value of computing experiences especially those from under-resourced communities.
3. Examine new models for supporting teachers and administrators in implementing coding and computational thinking experiences for all students.
