OLC Programs For Instructional Designers

From yesterday’s inbox…

Develop and advance your online instructional design and course development skills with these OLC programs.

Instructional Designer Certificate Program

The goal of this program is to help instructional designers build or refine their skills in working with faculty during the course design and development process. Throughout the four 4-week courses, you will learn strategies for guiding faculty through the course design/development process, analyze learning/instructional theories, identify ways to stay current with emerging best practices, and much more.

Instructional Design Mastery Series

This Mastery Series program is aimed at eLearning professionals who wish to learn how to effectively redesign an online course, or those who teach/assist faculty in designing online courses. This is a series of three workshops focusing on learning outcomes and assessment, instructional strategies, and course management and evaluation of courses that may take place in various learning environments.

“After teaching online for over eight years, I have to ask myself why I didn’t consider taking the Instructional Designer Certificate Program, or any other Online Learning Consortium course, earlier. OLC was a hidden in plain sight treasure trove of information that I wish I accessed earlier because moving forward I have greater confidence that I will be a better instructor and subject matter expert. Thanks, OLC!”
Patrick Kelsey, Professor, Savannah College of Art and Design

“The OLC Instructional Design Mastery Series provided excellent tools for developing a course plan, aligning assessments and crafting meaningful learning outcomes. The opportunity to work on my course and receive feedback along through the mastery series activities was invaluable. The courses that I teach and design will benefit greatly from the knowledge that I gained in this session.”
Susan Riello, Instructional Designer and Part-Time Faculty, Quinnipiac University
