Connected Educator New Zealand Update

One for my Kiwi readers to begin their week.

Stay connected in education with Connected Educator NZ.
Kia ora koutou, talofa lava, malo e lelei.

As Term 1 draws to a close, let’s look at opportunities for you to connect and share during your non-contact time, and into Term 2.

There is POWER in being CONNECTED is a recent blogpost highlighting some of the benefits of being part of this group.

Connected Educator gives you…

New, daily opportunities for connecting and learning
The Connected Educator calendar brings you new events, forums, webinars, educamps, edu-ignites, teachmeets, field trips and more.

Alongside this, there is a daily smorgasbord of connected professional learning opportunities:

Media Monday
Sharing of Edtalks interviews, discussions and presentations from thought leaders, innovative educators and inspirational learners.

Tips and Tricks Tuesday
In our busy working week it is easy to miss new resources. Here the community shares the latest for you to use.

Wordy Wednesday
Handy book reviews are shared to support you in your professional reading.

Thinking Thursday
Connect with the thoughts, ideas and reflections of others by sharing blog posts.

Feedforward Friday
Preview upcoming events for the following week.

Do you have anything to share with other connected educators on these days?

Starter Kete

Our Starter Kete is six ‘bite-sized chunks’ of professional development to support you as a connected educator.

Maybe this could be for your own professional learning, for you as a school leader to support staff, or for a Kāhui Ako?

  • Have you worked your way through Starter Kete days 1-5?
  • Have you downloaded the digital badges and attached them to your professional development log?
  • Have you joined the discussion in edSpace?

Please work your way through the kete and give us some feedback. Email anne.kenneally@core-ed.ac.nz.

Thank you for connecting. Best wishes for a relaxing end of term.
