Pasifika & Māori Education Grants 2017

Are you still thinking about applying for CORE’s Pasifika or Māori grants for 2017? Applications close next week so act now before it’s too late!

Read on to find out more information about the grants.

Pasifika Education Grant

The Pasifika Education Grant aims to support teachers dedicated to the education of Pasifika learners. This award is open to individuals or teams of educators who are currently employed in early childhood services or schools in New Zealand. There are four awards — one for each of the following sectors:

  • Early childhood
  • Primary
  • Intermediate
  • Secondary

Applications close 5pm, Wednesday 31 May.

Māori Education Grant

The Māori Education Grant aims to enhance Māori distinctiveness, illuminate creative potential, and support successful educational pathways.

Applicants may be:

  • Māori students looking for financial assistance to participate in an educational activity
  • Organisations/committees holding events to provide opportunities for Māori students
  • Educators of Māori students in either Māori Medium or English Medium settings
  • Groups/teachers/kura/ECE centres who wish to enhance e-learning opportunities for Māori students
  • Māori educators/students who wish to attend an event/course/conference
  • Iwi/Hapū who wish to provide special initiatives that enhance learning opportunities for Māori

Applications close 5pm, Friday 2 June.
