[AECT] Searching For Future Leaders!

From Wednesday’s inbox…

Greetings AECT Members!

We are searching for the future leaders of AECT.  Who are they?  They are the new professionals in K12 and higher education as well as those in industry and current graduate students within our membership.  We need your help, AECT members, to identify and recognize outstanding individuals with leadership potential in educational technology and in the broader field through the AECT Leadership Internship Program.

Eligible applicants and interested sponsors may review program details and application requirements at http://www.aect.org/events/intern. The deadline for submission to the internship program is a firm June 5, 2017.

AECT members interested in sponsoring an applicant should provide their contact information to the individual for inclusion in his or her application materials. Once an application is submitted, the online system will notify sponsors with instructions on how to complete the process. Please note that the application process places a heavy emphasis on past and current leadership experiences with a specific focus on personal goals for growth within AECT and the professional field.

All pieces of the application must be completed in order to be considered. This includes a sponsor letter in support of your application. Please allow enough time for your sponsor to submit this letter by the due date, June 5.

All interns will be expected to arrive at the 2017 AECT Convention in Jacksonville, FL by Sunday afternoon, November 5, 2017 and to stay until 12:00 PM Saturday, November 11, 2017.

Please submit all application materials via the AECT website at the URL above. Additional correspondence regarding the Leadership Internship Program can be directed to the Leadership Internship Program Coordinator, Megan C. Murtaugh, at 239-560-8301 or aect-intern-chair@aect.org.
