TRAVEL OPPORTUNITY? AECT has been contacted about academic travel abroad and we are seeking your input. We’ve been asked to explore interest in spending a week in Cuba focusing on education opportunities and issues. Proposed dates would be January, March, or May of 2018. If this type of member benefit is of interest to you please contact President Brad Hokanson (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Executive Director Phil Harris (email@example.com) to express your interest. (We realize that cost will be a major issue.)
CONGRATULATE OUR NEW AECT LEADERS
LEGENDS AND LEGACIES. AECT Legends and Legacies helps preserve our history through a searchable archive of video interviews with leaders of our field. This initiative is coordinated by AECT Past President Barbara Lockee, who welcomes ideas, suggestions, and feedback at firstname.lastname@example.org.
TEACHER EDUCATION FOCUS. The 2017 International Teacher Education Conference (ITEC) will be held August 16-18, 2017, at the Harvard University Faculty Club in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It’s not too early to begin thinking about your participation in this AECT-co-sponsored event. For information go to the ITEC website.
PROCEEDINGS HOT OFF THE PRESS. The proceedings of the 2016 AECT International Convention in Las Vegas are now available in two volumes. Research and development topics compose the first volume; instruction and training the second. Members can access the digital publications on the AECT website. Take advantage of this member benefit—and access proceeding from previous annual conventions as well.
