The seventeenth session that I am blogging here at SITE 2017 related to K-12 Online and Blended Learning is:
Digital Tools for English Language Learners in Blended Learning Environments
Presider: Hilary Seitz
Blended learning takes place when an educational program includes both online learning and face-to-face instruction, and models of blended learning are becoming common in classrooms across the United States. Meanwhile, the numbers of non-English speaking students in American K-12 classrooms continue to increase. This paper discusses the four models of blended learning and identifies digital tools that can be incorporated in each of these models to assist English language learners.
Note that I am in a different session right now (as SITE has a habit this week of double booking several items). So if there is anyone in the room that would like to share their notes, please post them in the comments below.
