NEW BOOK. Women’s Voices in the Field of Educational Technology: Our Journeys,edited by Ana Donaldson, is new from Springer. Women from around the world were asked to contribute to this volume, giving their perspectives on swimming in the “good old boy” stream to find recognition in our field. Contributors discuss their lives and the people who made a difference in their professional journeys.
AND… AECT members are invited to the Springer Reception and Book Signing to meet many of the authors included in the Women’s Voices volume above. The event will precede the keynote on Wednesday, October 19, at the AECT International Convention in Las Vegas. Don’t miss this event!
3-MINUTE THESIS COMPETITION. The AECT Graduate Student Assembly (GSA) will again host a research communication competition at the AECT International Convention this October in Las Vegas. For details and to register, click here. The registration deadline is September 1, 2016.
SYMPOSIUM OPPORTUNITY. The 2016 AECT Early Career Symposium sponsored by the National Science Foundation is now accepting applications. The symposium will reimburse each participant $350 for transportation, two nights at the convention hotel, and the convention registration fee. Click on the link for more information. The deadline is September 2, 2016.
