SYMPOSIUM OPPORTUNITY. The 2016 AECT Early Career Symposium sponsored by the National Science Foundation is now accepting applications. The symposium will reimburse each participant $350 for transportation, two nights at the convention hotel, and the convention registration fee. Click on the link for more information. IJDL CALL FOR PAPERS. The International Journal of Designs for Learning is calling for submissions for a special issue on Makerspace Design Cases. Makerspaces are informal workshop environments where people gather to create prototypes or products in a collaborative setting. FOUNDATION NEWS. The AECT Summer Leadership meeting brought together the ECT Foundation with current and future leaders of AECT. The Foundation’s fun-filled auction raised $4,100. All AECT members benefit because the funds go toward awards, internships, and leadership development.
