Statistics For September 2012

This entry is being posted back-dated.

I was traveling at the end of the month this past month, so this will be a very quick statistics entry for this month…  Over the past month, there were 8,022 visitors to this blog.  This is compared with 7,917 visitors in August; 8,720 visitors in July; 9,260 visitors in June; 8,923 in May; 9,775  in April; 11,057 in March; 10,246 in February; 10,365 in January; 7,418 in December 2011; 8,457 in November 2011; 11,274 in October 2011; and 9,615 in September 2011.  In sizing up the numbers, it appears that since March, each month there have been between 500-1500 fewer readers each month of 2012 compared to the same month in 2011 (with the exception of August, when there were 300 fewer readers).  Not sure the reason for the decrease in 2012.

Anyway, the top ten entries were:

  1. Questions About The School Of Tomorrow
  2. Webinar Recording – Blended Learning: Make it Work for Your District
  3. K12 Inc.: The Skirmish In Seminole County And The Desperate Race
  4. Problem With Cyber Charter Schools – PA & NJ Edition
  5. Greatest Benefits Of K-12 Online Learning And Visible Learning
  6. Instructional Technology Dissertation Topics
  7. Blogging About Generational Differences
  8. Dissertation Advice: Impact Of Virtual Schools For At Risk Students
  9. Dissertation Research Ideas?
  10. KEYNOTE: Dr. Susan C. Aldridge, President, University of Maryland University College (UMUC) – TITLE: From the Sidelines to the Mainstream: Reengineering the Case for E-Education

Interesting that three of the top ten items had dissertation in the title.  Maybe a lot of doctoral students searching for topics this past month.  As a quick way to check, the past month saw people find me via search engines using the following terms.

  1. generational differences
  2. learning
  3. blended learning
  4. blogging
  5. dissertation
  6. criminology
  7. quality
  8. school of tomorrow
  9. susan aldridge
  10. gang hand signs

Not going to lie, number ten made me laugh a bit!

Finally, the statistics from my old blog site (which is still generating some traffic).Monthly Stats Report: 1 Sep – 30 Sep 2012
