Even More On Michigan Senate Bill 619

In December I posted the testimony that I gave before the Michigan House Education Committee on Senate Bill 619 – the bill designed to remove all restrictions related to cyber charter schooling in the State of Michigan.  Last week I posted a follow-up entry on the bill (see More On Michigan Senate Bill 619).  That second entry pointed to an article entitled “Cyber school cap could go: State Sen. Phil Pavlov supports lifting restriction,” and in particular the comments people had left.

Anyway, it appears that there will be another session of testimony this coming week sometime and then they’ll decide what they are going to do with the bill.  As legislators get ready to decide what to do about this awful piece of legislation pushed by the neo-liberal and neo-conservative proponents of K-12 online learning, I wanted to share some more recent articles on the bill.

Some more food for thought on the subject…
