K-12 Online Learning Research: Article Publication

As has been the tradition, I wanted to draw your attention to a recent research article that was published related to K-12 online learning.

The literature related to online learning programs for K-12 students dates to the mid-1990s and builds upon a century of research and practice from K-12 distance education. While K-12 online learning programs have evolved and grown over the past decade, the amount of published research on virtual schooling practice and policy is limited.

  1. Research and Practice in K-12 Online Learning: A Review of Open Access Literature
    This is the kind of research I have been looking for.
    Calling for more studies on the lower performing student and online learning, (as this article does) could benefit this growing at-risk population specifically and online learning in general.

  2. No problem… While the at-risk population makes up a significant chunk of the K-12 online learning enrollment these days, there is still little research in this area. Most of the research has focused on the other significant chunk (i.e., honours and AP students).
