iNACOL Blended and Online Learning Symposium

This showed up on one of my electronic threads…

iNACOL BLended and Online Learning Symposium 2013 banner

iNACOL Blended and Online Learning Symposium

In 2013, iNACOL changed the name of our annual conference from the Virtual School Symposium to the iNACOL Blended and Online Learning Symposium.

The Virtual School Symposium is now called the iNACOL Blended and Online Learning Symposium to more accurately reflect the breadth of tracks, sessions, issues, and people represented at each annual conference. The iNACOL Blended and Online Learning Symposium includes more than 100 sessions with tracks for K-12 online learning, K-12 blended learning and competency-based pathways. This new conference name was developed through ongoing conversations with our membership, our member-driven committees, and our Board of Directors.

In October, the iNACOL Blended and Online Learning Symposium will bring together over 2,000 representatives from national, state, district, private, and other school programs to attend the premier K-12 online and blended learning conference. Experts in K-12 blended and online education will have robust networking opportunities; learn about the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in e-learning; interact in session presentations; and gain access to the latest research and best practices reports.

The symposium highlights the cutting-edge work in K-12 blended and online education across the country. It is the only national conference focused solely on K-12 online and blended learning in such a comprehensive way, and the highest-level practitioners and policy-makers seeking to develop e-learning programs within educational institutions in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and abroad are in attendance.

The Request for Proposals for break-out sessions for the 2013 conference is closed. Selection of proposals will be finalized by the end of May.

Registration is expected to open later in April.

Research Panels At iNACOL Symposium 2013 – Presenters Needed!

More iNACOL news from Wednesday…

Hi everyone!

I hope this email finds you well.

The call for proposals for iNACOL’s annual conference (http://vss.inacol.org/) is available. Here’s the direct link to the RFP: http://vssrfp.inacol.org/

In preparation for this year’s conference, two researchers, Susan Lowes and Janice Silver, are putting together two RFPs for panels that are research-focused. Susan and Janice have asked me to send out a reminder for their request for participation.

Each of the two panels will have three presentations, so they are looking for a total of six presenters.

If you are interested in being considered for one of these panels, please send Susan Lowes (lowes@tc.edu) and Janice Silver (janice.silver@ncpublicschools.gov) the title and abstract of your research study that you’d like to present no later than Sunday, March 10th.

Thanks, and please let me know if you have any questions!

Have a great day,
Kathryn
