[CNIE-L] Texas Distance Learning Association Conference

Oddly enough, I received this via the Canadian Network of Innovation in Education listserve.  Showed up a couple of days ago.  Anyway, note the K-12 focus.

Hello fellow distance learning advocate!

I am contacting you to personally invite you, your colleagues, members and constituents to join us for our annual distance learning conference.  I am the Texas Distance Learning Association President-Elect and 2009 Conference Chairman.

With over 800 attendees last year our conference is, arguably, one of the largest conferences, dedicated purely to distance learning, nationally and possibly internationally.  We have experts present topics in every realm of distance learning.  We have several tracks to choose from including Emerging Technologies, Instructional Design and Research to name a few.

We support constituencies in K-12, post-secondary, business, government/military & medical and, every year learn more and more about best practices within those distance learning application areas.

Our conference is being held in beautiful Corpus Christi, Texas April 6 9 with some great pre-conference workshops being held on the 6th.  We have a very special room rate set up with the Omni Towers right on the Gulf of Mexico.  They are offering an $85.00 USD room rate for up to 4 occupants.

I would appreciate your assistance in distributing information about our conference to all those you feel may have an interest.  I would like the opportunity to send you flyers and have noted the link to our conference web page.

Please contact me personally with any questions.  I look forward to speaking with you!
