In celebration of Digital Learning Day on Wednesday, February 6th, EdTech Leaders Online (ETLO) will be a part of two exciting events. First, ETLO’s director, Barbara Treacy, will be part of the 2013 National Digital Learning Day Live Chat with Education Experts from 2:30 – 3:30 PM ET focused on the Digital Learning Transition. You are invited to share your ideas and ask questions during this live event by visiting http://digitallearningday.org/chat.
After the live chat, ETLO is hosting an online conversation from 4:00 – 5:00 PM ET. This live, interactive webinar event will include a panel of K–12 teachers, students and members of the ETLO staff discussing how teaching and learning with digital resources can create authentic motivation and engagement.
Members of the panel, moderated by ETLO’s Kirsten Peterson, will share concrete examples from their own online, blended and face-to-face experiences to illustrate the types of environments, tools and strategies that create excitement and motivation. Here are some of our scheduled panelists:
- Paul Anderson, High School Science Teacher from Bozeman, MT
- Zena Taha, Information Technology in a Global Society Teacher for Online International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme
- Crystal Pullen, Instructional Leader for North Carolina Virtual Public School’s Peer Tutoring Center
- Reed Callahan, Sophomore at Lexington High School, MA
We hope you can join in the conversation by visiting http://econference.edc.org at 4:00 PM ET on Wednesday, February 6th.
Looking forward to celebrating Digital Learning Day with you!
