Dear Colleagues,
As a holiday present, we present to the 5,600 subscribers of IRRODL a special issue, Technology-Enhanced Information Retrieval for Online Learning.
This special issue will be a treat for researchers wanting to learn about the innovative ways in which networked machines are providing new affordances to open and distance education. The issue is a bit more techie than our usual offering, but I am confident that most readers will find some fascinating articles and my personal guarantee that you will learn something from our computer and information science colleagues who have a passion for building tools and understanding online learning.
The issue has been promoted, reviewed, and edited by a skilled team of researchers led by editors Dr. Maiga Chang (Athabasca University, Canada), Dr.Rita Kuo (Knowledge Square Inc., Taiwan), Dr. Gene Loeb (Center for Technology and Mental Health of Elderly, USA), and Dr. Bolanle Olaniran (Texas Tech University, USA).
As always our thanks to all contributors to IRRODL and especially the editors, reviewers, and authors of this special issue.
Season’s Greetings from Athabasca University, IRRODL managing editor Brigette McConkey, myself, and the many volunteers who make IRRODL happen.
