International Review of Research in Open and Distance Learning

Dear Subscribers,

Welcome to the ‘Halloween’ 2012 edition of the International Review of Research in Open and Distance Learning (IRRODL), the world’s most well read and cited academic journal of distance and open education research.

In this issue we have no spooks or goblins, just quality distance education research, field and leadership notes, and a book review.
After you have scanned (and clicked through to read!) the articles below, I hope you will forward this email to a colleague, noting the articles that you think will make a difference to your practice and research. Also please encourage your colleagues to subscribe to IRRODL by visiting the site – the price is right!
We are experiencing a surge of submissions, so we welcome readers registering on the site as potential reviewers. Remember to complete the field that itemizes your interests and expertise, so we can assign articles that will be of most use to you and to our authors.
As always thanks to authors, reviewers and editors.
