THE VHS COLLABORATIVE WEBINAR SERIES PRESENTS:“College and Career Readiness: Using Online Learning to Prepare Students for Success”
Join us on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 for this Free Webinar.
Studies show that America has lost more than 2.7 million jobs to other countries between 2001 and 2011. Why? Our schools are not preparing students with the skills they need to succeed in today’s workplace. Reversing the loss of jobs in America requires stretching beyond traditional learning models. We cannot afford to continue with the same “business as usual” approaches and expect greater outcomes.
Preparing students for 21st century jobs has sparked discourse among educators. Some educators want greater focus on traditional learning, while others want to shift the focus to job readiness. However, all educators feel the urgency to identify solutions that will prepare students for college and careers in the 21st century.
Part of the solution is embracing online learning as a way to help students develop the skills and job-specific knowledge sought by today’s employers.
