North Carolina State University is seeking four leading researchers to expand the Digital Transformation of Education interdisciplinary research cluster, which brings together efforts across multiple colleges that address the potential of emerging technologies to enhance learning in formal and informal education settings. The four positions focus on digital learning (Friday Institute/College of Education); learner modeling (Dept. of Psychology), intelligent learning environments and adaptive game technologies (both in the Dept. of Computer Science). Our collective work addresses issues of foundational research, classroom practices, and district and state policies. The NC State Digital Transformation of Education research group has strong working relationships with schools throughout the region, state education and government leaders, and many technology companies that have large facilities in the Triangle region.
These positions are part of the Chancellors Faculty Excellence Program, a major initiative of the Universitys strategic plan that will support hiring faculty in emerging research areas to promote interdisciplinary scholarship and the development of innovative undergraduate and graduate programs. We invite applications from nationally recognized researchers who are engaged in innovative and transformative scholarship that will further NC States position as a leader in research and development on educational innovation.
The positions are all tenure-track or tenured and require a Ph.D. in a relevant field, an established track record in innovative research and development, ability to work within interdisciplinary collaborative teams, and strong teaching ability. Further information about all four Digital Transformation of Education positions, including application instructions, is available at http://go.ncsu.edu/dte.
