Because of my positive experiences with back-to-school shopping, I want to challenge you this year to involve your children in the purchase of school supplies and the set up of their learning space. To get started, here are a few basic school supplies I recommend.

This 10th grader from Maryland is a history buff who loves setting a positive example of Christ’s love toward others. Matthew’s trusty side-kick is his cat, Moon, and his most treasured possession is his Trek bike.

To streamline the process and reduce the impact on your inboxes, you will no longer receive emails about online office hours. Instead, your child’s teachers will post their office hours, links, and passwords on their Genius Bio page.

At AOA, part of our mission is to educate the whole child – not just academically, but also spiritually and socially. On August 22 from 3:15 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. (CT), the Back to School Banter will be held to let our students get to know their teachers and fellow students.

Rebecca Rasmussen is a musician who loves keeping AOA students’ courses and planning in perfect harmony. A former teacher, Rasmussen is a mother of two young daughters and a step-son. She loves golfing, playing softball, and cooking new recipes.

The elementary department of AOA has created a summer reading goal for the last full month of summer. Running from August 1-31, the “Jump into Reading” program asks students to read a certain number of books of their liking to reach the goal set for their grade level.

Online Classroom Schedule Is Now Available!
The weekly schedule for online classrooms has been posted online. We encourage you to bookmark this page.
ACT and SAT Testing Dates
The registration deadline is August 17 to register to take the ACT on September 8. The registration deadline is September 7 to register to take the SAT on October 6.
AOA Closed for Labor Day
Alpha Omega Academy will be closed for Labor Day on September 3. Teachers will be unavailable by phone, but students may continue to work in all courses if desired. Please contact your teachers ahead of time if you have questions or concerns.
