About the Workshops
- G6-12 IYOC Workshop: (G6-12 IYOC) Improving Your Online Course
This workshop explores the Grades 6-12 (G6-12) Rubric and provides a framework to improve the quality of online courses. Participants use the 42 standards of the Rubric to review the design of their online courses. The workshop culminates in the creation of a Course Improvement Plan. Online, three weeks, facilitated. No pre-requisites.

- G6-12 APPQMR Workshop: (G6-12 APPQMR) Applying the Grades 6 – 12 Quality Matters Rubric
The G6-12 APPQMR workshop is the most comprehensive approach to the G6-12 Rubric offered by QM. This rigorous workshop covers all elements of the Grades 6-12 Rubric and its use in evaluating online courses. This course discusses the underlying rationale for each standard and provides hands on experience. Online, two-three week, facilitated, asynchronous. No pre-requisite requirements.

- G6-12 RCW Workshop: (G6-12 RCW) Grades 6-12 Reviewer Certification Workshop
The G6-12 RCW course covers the policies and procedures governing Quality Matters course reviews for Grades 6 – 12, and addresses the roles and responsibilities of a peer reviewer. Participants receive a “hands on” experience by reviewing elements of an actual G6-12 course.
Prerequisites: Participants must have successfully completed the G6-12 APPQMR. To be eligible for certification as a G6-12 course reviewer, K-12 personnel must have taught or developed an online or blended course during the previous 18 months. Certified higher education peer reviewers may also qualify to be dually certified, if they have prior K-12 teaching experience, have taught dual enrollment courses, or participate in teacher education programs. Online, facilitated, asynchronous.
