Director of Distance Education

University of Wisconsin-Platteville 

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is hiring a full-time, 12 month- academic staff member to provide leadership in the operation of the Distance Learning Center.  A master’s degree is required, preferably in the areas of higher/adult/distance education, business, project management, or related field. The following skills/experiences are also required:  5 years of work experience at the supervisory level, excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational abilities, experience leading a successful team, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and demonstrated commitment to or experience with a racially diverse populations.  Preferred and helpful experiences include: analytical skills, process improvement skills, working/learning in a distance education environment, leadership through changing times and experience with matrix management.

Virginia Tech’s Institute for Distance and Distributed Learning (IDDL) seeks an Assistant Director responsible for all operations and coordinating functions pertaining to IDDL’s faculty development and training initiatives and instructional design and development programs.  The Assistant Director works with academic departments and programs offering eLearning degree and certificate programs, and with other university-wide departments and organizations to establish course quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

A Master’s degree in a related field and professional experience in the field of curriculum and instructional design

Distance Education Coordinator

College of Agriculture at Auburn University

The College of Agriculture at Auburn University is seeking experienced candidates for the position of Distance Education Coordinator. This is a 2 year, limited-term position. Continuation is contingent on availability of funding. The Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of the distance education program within the college and must possess professional expertise and experience in addition to a clear vision of how to develop and nurture fledging distance education efforts into a financially viable distance education program.
