Opening Night Reception
The tradition of having an official Opening Night Reception to kick off the conference will happen again this year on April 21 at 5:00 pm.

The event will be casual, starting with a welcome by the conference host and sponsor followed by a relaxing evening of food, drink and networking. In fact, it’s the first of many opportunities to network you’ll find in this year’s conference.

Visit the 2009 Conference page on LearnNowBC for more information and updates on the 2009 conference.

Professional Learning Opportunities For the Week of Nov 19-26:

knowWEEKS: Digital Story Telling.
In this knowWEEK, you will view examples of digital stories – short digital video clips, usually told in first person narrative with the learner’s own voice, illustrated primarily with still images, and often with an added music track created by learners of all ages – learn about the principles of the ancient art of storytelling, and the variety of strategies that can be used with diverse learners, from kindergarten through graduate school and into retirement. We will also discuss the digital tools available for both Macintosh and Windows, and tie the digital storytelling process to curriculum standards and instruction practices.

Join the session led by Helen Barrett (USA) which begins on Nov 23, 2008. Visit knowWEEKS at LearnNowBC for more information. Click here to pre-register.
