Day Fourteen – Thirty Days To A Better Blog

Day fourteen in the 30 Days to Being a Better Blogger series was yesterday and asked us to look at Day 14: Leave a Message at the Beep. Essentially, we were asked if it was easy for someone to contact us via our blog.

I’ll admit that it there isn’t a specific way to get a hold of me on my blog, and like Jay, that was done purposefully.

I have linked to my homepage and wiki on in the sidebar.  And on my homepage I have a little widget that includes my e-mail, all my IM, and other Web 2.0 contacts.  But not on my blog.

If I wanted to add it, there are two ways I could easily do it.  I could create a page that would end up with this portion:

Pages

Or I could create a “mailto:” link that would end up with this portion:

Michael’s Links

The problem is that I want it to appear in the “Michael’s Links” area, but I don’t want it to be a “mailto:” link – as those are so 1990s. I’d like it if I could find somewhere on the web that allows me to create a form or a survey hosted at their site that I could use as a feedback form. I suppose I could always create one on my own domain and link it in under “Michael’s Links” – and may do that if I don’t get any other suggestions from this post.

So I guess this task is a “to be continued” item…
