Ranking The US States In Online Learning

In her opening this morning, Susan Patrick told us that last night iNACOL, working with several partners, released a document that ranked the various states based upon their support of K-12 online learning.  The rankings were based funding, policies, suppoort for K-20 programs, and a variety of other things.  The top ten were:

10. Hawaii
9. Minnesota
8. North Carolina
7. West Virginia
6. New Mexico
5. Louisiana
4. Arkansas
3. Idaho
2. Michigan
1. Florida

  1. [...] is the claim of “first-ever.”  In 2008 didn’t the Center for Digital Education rank US States in online learning?  The following year (i.e., in 2009) didn’t that same organization provide state rankings [...]
